Papapreneur is a blog about being a Dad in today's world.

Hi there, thanks for visiting!

A bit about me: I live in Los Angeles, recently bought a home with my wife, work in startups and just welcomed my daughter into the world.

Why this blog? Simply put, I enjoy writing about my adventures with my newborn daughter and what I’m learning on the ever evolving parenting journey.

My goal in creating Papapreneur is to provide a helpful source of insights, experiences and resources for young parents. I certainly do not have all the answers and am not a parenting guru by any means. I am, however, committed to determining what it means to be a good father in today’s world and truly enjoy documenting the experience of being a new dad and what I’m learning along the way.

In addition to being a dad, I’m passionate about entrepreneurship and health and wellness with the goal of growing a business that pays the bills and I can run from anywhere. Other hobbies include hiking, yoga, photography, gardening, the occasional sweat lodge, attempting to play guitar and exploring different nutritional regimes. This is of course in addition to being a husband, son, brother, friend and many other identities. How to make it all come together, with being a dad thrown in the mix, is very much a work in progress, and a quest I deem worthy of passionate pursuit.

How does one balance career, family, friends, hobbies, self care, personal development and beyond? What traditions do we want to follow? What did our parents do that we can now reinvent for ourselves? What experiences, insights and opportunities arise from seeing the world through our child’s eyes?

Having a child is often seen as a narrowing of one’s life, a situation of sacrifice, as less fun and independent. No more going out to movies. No more going out to dinner with friends. No more of so many things we used to enjoy pre-parent phase.

But what about the new opportunities that emerge from becoming a parent? What about the new experiences we can have with our families? Where can we go as fathers that was previously inaccessible or altogether invisible? What does being a father enable us to do both personally and professionally?

How to be a father changes across generations, and Papapreneur is my attempt at documenting and discovering what it means to be a dad in today’s world.

Thanks for visiting. Please reach out if you have a questions, feedback or just want to say yo.

Here’s to the evolving frontier of fatherhood!
